Mike earned his PhD from UMass Chan Medical School, where he gained extensive research experience working with a variety of research models. He later joined the Wu Lab as a Lab Manager, contributing his expertise to the lab's work. Outside of the lab, Mike enjoys playing badminton, playing the piano, and hiking.

I’m Shukla Sarkar, a dedicated researcher with a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular immunology from the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. My research focused on the role of the protein JunB in CD8 T cell responses. I have a strong foundation in techniques like flow cytometry, qPCR, Western blotting, RNA sequencing, and data analysis. My passion lies in exploring immuno-metabolism and bioinformatics. I’ve had the opportunity to work on impactful projects and publish in renowned journals. Thriving in international work environments, I love mentoring students and engaging in science communication platforms. Fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali, and Telugu, I’m committed to advancing biosciences. In my free time, I enjoy listening to and dancing to Indian songs, which keeps me connected to my roots and brings joy to my life.

Jussekia is a proud graduate from UMass Boston with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry. Outside of her research pursuits, you can find Jussekia watching thriller movies or exploring the city for the best new eateries. One day, she  hopes to open her own crêperie, blending her passion for food and creativity!

Richa is a food enthusiast who lives to cook and eat. Enjoys the randomness of nature by traveling and also like crocheting. And she is also motivated by the kindness towards humanity and the invisible forces that drives the complex animal systems.
